Survivors

The heinous act of brutality that took place on June 17, 2015 forever altered the lives of the survivors of the tragedy – Felicia Sanders and her granddaughter, Jennifer Pinckney and her daughter, and Polly Sheppard. ThIs courageous group graciously led the public’s response to the tragedy; their will to forgive inspired people around the world, promoting empathy, understanding, and compassion. The resolve of these women offered a powerful testament to the human capacity for compassion, demonstrating to everyone who heard their stories that embracing forgiveness was the way forward.
