Emanuel Nine Memorial Opening Ceremony

Dear Friends and Partners,

The Mother Emanuel Memorial Foundation invites you to gather with us as we officially open the Emanuel Nine Memorial to the public on November 14, 2026. It will be a historic and meaningful day for Charleston, the community that has carried this project forward, and to the nation.

The day will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, presentations honoring the lives and legacies of the Emanuel Nine, and live entertainment throughout the event, including gospel and jazz music and poetry.

You will be among the first members of the public to walk the memorial grounds, learn the stories of the Emanuel Nine, and spend time in a place created for reflection, remembrance, healing, and hope.

Admission is free and all are welcome. Please bring your family and friends and join us as we open this important new place in Charleston to the community and to the world.

We would be honored if you would join us for this special gathering:
