On this day six years ago, Michael Brown Jr. was shot and killed by a white police officer in Ferguson, MO. He was just 18 years old. Mr. Brown was a recent graduate of Normandy High School. He loved music and was an amateur rap musician who posted songs on SoundCloud under the handle “Big Mike”. Before he was shot and killed, Brown had enrolled in Vatterott College in St. Louis, and was just two days from starting school. Today, we remember Michael Brown and the countless other black men and women who have died at the hands of police officers across this country.
