On Sunday, August 2, Aurora, CO police pulled over and drew their guns on Brittney Gilliam and four minors after mistaking her car for a stolen vehicle. In the car with Ms. Gilliam was her 6-year-old daughter, her 12-year-old sister, 14- and 17-year-old nieces. The ladies were handcuffed and placed down on the concrete will police verified that the car Gilliam was driving wasn’t stolen. While this incident isn’t new, it was captured on video and is circulating on social media. This is the same police department that has come under scrutiny for the in-custody death of Elijah McClain.
